Chicken Project

The project is aimed at increasing the sustainability of SAY enabling the organization to continuously support its mission, helping to improve the social economic-welfare of the Youth in wakiso district.

The project is a two-fold strategy, in that it seeks to create a viable income generation project for SAY, giving it an alternate way to support its daily activities and to improve the welfare of the Youth. 

Second, the project seeks to create employment opportunities to some of  the youth so that they cater for themselves and to some extent their dependents. With respect to multiplier effect, the activities of this project will be scaled up by non members. Or the project will be a model for future income generation projects within the community and will be replicated by the community.

The future prospect of the chicken project is to cover the entire supply chain. That is breed the chickens, read them, slaughter and pack and sell to the end consumers
